What does she do?

 She looks great, she models with cars, takes photos with fans, takes photos with spectators, talks with attendees, autographs photos, and posters.  She may also sell some of her own photos, posters, DVD’s, calendars, trade cards or magazines.  Models participates in bikini contests, some go-go dance, some dance on stage; hand out promotional items from the event or sponsors of the event and has fun while she does it.

 Import models may work with a few different companies touring with them to various auto shows around the nation or even international auto shows.  She will be the spokes model for the company, meaning, she is the face of the company.  She is on their advertisements, their brochures, videos, she attends their parties and events, she’s in their calendars and website content.  If the company has a TV show or has short video clips on their import car website, she may be the onscreen host.

 What is she really doing?

Import models help drive consumer demand for a product, service, brand, or concept by directly interacting with spectators. She is usually exotic or attractive in physical appearance, and not only provides information to the consumer about the product or service, but makes it appealing to them in some way, enabling the spectator to identify with the product, service, or the company that offers it. While the length of interaction with the spectator may be short, she delivers a live experience that reflects on the product or service she is representing. 

 She is responsible for but not limited to, attracting attention to her booth, increasing product awareness, creating an association in the spectator’s mind between the product or brand and a particular idea, providing product information, handing out items to spectators, such as samples, small gifts, or printed material.  Sometimes she is responsible for having knowledge about the company, selling company products, merchandise, calendars, photos, posters or videos.  She may even be given a quota as to what she must sell, she may be required to give a percentage of her own photo sales, and some are fortunate enough to get commissions on merchandise sales.

 What is she like?

Import models always look their best and have fun while they work, yes, she does actually work.  She is fun, she’s fashionable, approachable, nice, confidant, friendly and there for the fans and spectators.  She is confidant in her walk, her pose, when she talks and when she represents a company, car, or car club.  Since car shows tour, she travels a lot and works a lot, and she is always treated with VIP status. 

 A models wardrobe varies, some wear sexy bikinis, sexy lingerie, classy sexy clothing, sexy clothing, or revealing sexy clothing, it’s up to her own discretion.  She also may be required to wear a company baby t embroidered or screen printed with a company logo. Since it’s her job is to look good, she may chop up the shirt to make it a little more flattering.

 Who hires the models?

Import Models are not regular employees of the company she represents; she is a freelancer (represents herself) or is managed by a modeling or marketing company.  You can usually contact her through her website, she usually has a flier or card of some sort to give you to contact her directly or contact her agent.
